Where we work

EICRs across north Derbyshire.

Eight towns, from Chesterfield out to Matlock and South Normanton. The postcode is the quickest way to know whether we cover you, and the distances below are stated plainly rather than glossed over.

Step 1 of 3

Arrange an EICR

Three questions and a postcode. We match you to a qualified local electrician.

The eight towns

Where we cover for EICRs

Each town has its own page, because what an inspection runs into is genuinely different in each. A Staveley terrace built for the works and modernised in phases is a different job from a newer Wingerworth estate house, and both are different again from a converted stone building in Matlock where a good deal of the wiring cannot be seen at all.

Every town page names the postcode districts, the distance from Chesterfield and the housing authority that enforces the landlord regulations there, because none of those three is the same across this area.

Distances

How far out we go, honestly

We are based in Chesterfield. Somercotes and South Normanton are the far edge at about thirteen miles, and they are covered together rather than as separate trips. Saying that plainly is better than implying everywhere is round the corner.

Worth knowing if you hold property across the area: the housing authority enforcing the landlord regulations is not the same throughout. Five cover the eight towns on this site. Chesterfield Borough, North East Derbyshire District, Bolsover District, Amber Valley Borough and Derbyshire Dales District.

  • Chesterfield (S40, S41, S43), base
  • Staveley (S43), about 4 miles
  • Wingerworth (S42), about 3 miles
  • Dronfield (S18), about 6 miles
  • Clowne (S43), about 8 miles
  • South Normanton (DE55), about 12 miles
  • Somercotes (DE55), about 13 miles
  • Matlock (DE4), about 10 miles

Outside the list

If your town is not here

Ask anyway. The list is where we work regularly, not a boundary fence, and a job just outside it often makes sense, particularly a commercial site, or a property we can plan alongside another in the same area.

What we will not do is claim to cover somewhere we cannot reach properly. Sheffield and Derby are both large cities with their own markets and we do not pretend otherwise. If the travel does not work, we will say so and, where we can, point you at someone closer.

Next step

Not sure whether you are in the area? Send the postcode.

Send the postcode and what the property is, and we will come back with the quote or the one question still outstanding.

Five fields. We reply with either a fixed price or the one thing we still need to know.

  • No cost, and no obligation to book anything
  • Your details are never sold on or passed around
  • A fixed price for the work described, in writing

Would rather talk it through? Leave a number in the form and say so in the details, and we will ring you rather than emailing back.

An unsatisfactory result starts a 28 day clock on a rented property. The report says what was found, so you can get it priced.
